smileyWelcome to 2JB's class pagesmiley

It is very exciting to have started the new school year. 2JB are already really interested to learn about their new topic 'Vehicles'.  The children have been learning about vehicles around the world and their suitability when travelling between different continents, over oceans or between two different countries. We will also be learning about how vehicles have developed and changed over time and using tools in design technology to make our own moving car! Please check our website for updates and photographs of how our learning develops over the term.

Thank you

Mrs Bill and Mrs Hey

Reminders for parents

Once your child has finished their home reader book, they can change their book in school any day apart from Friday. It is vitally important that your child is reading regularly at home and in school to build upon their fluency of words and their comprehension skills; understanding what they have read. Only when a child has understood what they have read and are able to answer questions, will they then be able to move onto a new book band. We encourage the children to keep the book for a few days so that they can fully understand it's content and words used.

Each week homework will be stuck in your child's homework book. It will be given out on a Friday to be returned the following Wednesday. Their homework will be literacy, numeracy or topic based. Spelling tests will take place on a Monday.

PE Kits

2JB will be taught by a Trafford Sports Coach on a Wednesday afternoon and they will also have one lesson taught by Mrs Bill during the week. Please ensure PE kits are in school at all times. Children can wear black shorts, a white top and trainers. Children are encouraged to wear jumpers when temperatures are cooler.
