Welcome to 2RH's class page
It is very exciting to have started the new school year. 2RH are already really interested to learn about their new topic 'Vehicles'. They will be discussing about what modes of transport they have used over the summer holidays, how they are each different and how different vehicles are used. They have looked at how they can travel on land, sea and through the air using different vehicles. Over the next half term the children will be experimenting with materials to create their own boats suitable for water, making car crafts and painting with their feet! Keep checking the website for updates of how the children have been getting on!

Reminders for parents
Once your child has finished their home reader book, they can change their book in school each morning. It is vitally important that your child is reading regularly at home and in school to build upon their fluency of words and their comprehension skills; understanding what they have read. Only when a child has understood what they have read and are able to answer questions, will they then be able to move onto a new book band.
Each week homework will be stuck in your child's homework book. It will be given out on a Friday to be returned the following Wednesday. Their homework will be literacy, numeracy or topic based.
2RH will be taught by a Trafford Sports Coach on a Thursday morning and they will also have one lesson taught by Miss Hamand during the week. Please ensure PE kits are in school at all times. Children can wear black shorts, a white top and trainers. Children are encouraged to wear jumpers when temperatures are cooler.
