Year 4 have invited some members of the charity ‘Don’t Walk Past’ in to school to help us understand some of what they do to help the homeless, as we know it is a huge problem in Manchester and our surrounding areas. They told us they are a group of volunteers that work in the evenings in and around Manchester. They deliver food, care packages, and help those in need. It is a charity run entirely on donations. We wanted to know how we could help at Heyes Lane!

They told us they desperately need donations of sleeping bags to help those who are homeless stay warm over the colder months. We thought this would be something we could definitely do to help! See below some examples of the Y4 campaign ‘Help the Homeless’. We have had some donations of sleeping bags, and hope to get many more to help as many people as we can that are in need in our communities.
